Windows Enterprise Server Hardware Requirements

The eThink enterprise or workgroup server must be on an Intel Pentium-based machine running the Microsoft Windows NT Server or Windows 2000+ Server operating system. The following table is a guideline for the server hardware requirements however, Kepner-Tregoe strongly recommends working with database vendor to size the server based upon the number of concurrent users and the anticipated data volume.

Ethernet connection		Connect the client and server using this method.
SMTP Host		Optional, however required for email

Database Administration	Oracle SQL*Plus 8.06 or higher or for Microsoft SQL Server: Enterprise Manager & SQL Query Analyzer	SQL*Plus is on the database CD, but licensed separately. SQL Server includes Enterprise Manager & SQL Query Analyzer.
Oracle Import/Export (Oracle only)	Imp80 and Exp80 (Oracle 8.0x) or Imp and Exp (Oracle 8.1x)	Must match your release of Oracle
