Assessment Center
Panel Interviews
A series of panel interviews is conducted with each potential new
hire candidate. The interviews are structured using traditional
resume questions, assumption-based questioning using your previous
project experience as a starting point, and/or behavioral questions
to understand your past work experience and gain an understanding
of your interest in KT. The behavioral questions involve asking
you to describe your actions in a past experience in the context
of critical consulting skills.
Case Studies
At the heart of the value that KT brings to our clients is the
way in which we use our rational processes to get to the heart
of our clients business issues. To assess for a candidate’s
aptitude in this area we provide you with the opportunity to
work on a problem-based case study in which we ask you to identify
the root cause of the highest priority issue you can identify.
Following completion of the case studies we conduct a group debrief,
and extend the case study into a mock consulting project. Here
we look for teamwork and creativity under pressure.
Presentations
The first component of
the Assessment Center is the presentation. Each candidate is required
to deliver a persuasive presentation to a group of observers, most
of who will be seen throughout the course of the Assessment Center
day. The presentation should attempt to persuade the observers
of the validity of your thinking, it should be structured in a
way that allows you to demonstrate a systematic and organized approach
to communication. It is also an opportunity to demonstrate your
presentation skills in front of an unknown audience – performance
under (a slight amount of) pressure.
