Highly prestigious awards recognize excellence in the U.K. consulting industry

PRINCETON, NJ (April 23, 2013) –Kepner-Tregoe (KT), the global capability development and consulting company, was recently recognized by the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) with a “Highly Commended” designation in the Strategy category for their partnership with the DAL Group. The MCA Awards are widely acknowledged as the benchmark of quality within the U.K. consulting industry and are given out annually by the MCA, the representative body for management consultancy firms in the U.K. The awards recognize both team-based projects as well as individual consultants in several categories including change management, customer engagement, strategy, technology among others.

Kepner-Tregoe’s recognition was a result of their work with the DAL Group, Sudan’s largest privately held commercial organization.  KT worked with the client to design a move into agriculture—a new and strategic sector for the largest and most diversified conglomerate in Sudan. As part of the assignment, KT took DAL’s leaders through a strategic decision making process to determine what DAL Group’s priorities should focus on in order to achieve an optimal entry into agriculture. Initial results from this strategy suggest clear signs of success with the development of an export market for locally grown alfalfa, the modernization of dairy production and the development of programs to support ground-nut and sorghum farming.

“DAL’s Agri – Food business has been internationally recognized for our implementation of best practices across our company; these innovations would have been limited without an outside partner like KT coming in and helping us to think differently,” said Ihab Daoud Abdellatif, managing director at DAL.  “We congratulate KT on their recent MCA recognition and look forward to a long-term relationship with them.”

"All of us at Kepner-Tregoe are thrilled to be recognized by the MCA for our work with the DAL Group.  The hard work and dedication from our teammates throughout the EMEA region is what continues to set our work apart,” said Sam Bodley-Scott, principal and director of strategic consulting at KT. “It is truly an honor to receive these accolades alongside our esteemed consulting colleagues.”
