SIX SIGMA SOLUTIONS
Drive customer satisfaction to a level previously thought unachievable

Six Sigma® is a proven roadmap to continuous improvement within an organization. With KT Six Sigma training, you maximize efficient application of Six Sigma solutions using a systematic set of tools that guide critical thinking and drive business success.

Workshop descriptions: Learn to apply the Six Sigma DMAIC roadmap (see what you will learn below) to promote data-driven actions that identify and eliminate sources of variation and drive customer-focused results. Choose the program that is appropriate for your skills and involvement in Six Sigma.

SIX SIGMA AWARENESS PROGRAM: Understand the fundamentals of Six Sigma and DMAIC in order to support and guide others in the successful execution of Six Sigma projects.

GREENBELT PROGRAM: Develop the skills to execute Six Sigma projects rapidly and drive long-term results. Greenbelts become the internal coaches to process owners and are always looking for tomorrow’s opportunities.

BLACKBELT PROGRAM: Develop the skills to deal with all aspects of process improvement, build the capability to tackle the complex opportunities that everyone else walks away from, and become the coach of Six Sigma coaches.

What you will learn: * DMAIC consists of five phases: define, measure, analyze, improve and control.  The DMAIC model is a systematic method for analyzing and improving business processes.Applying the Six Sigma DMAIC roadmap drives superior project execution.

DEFINE: The define phase is when a project is scoped, documented and costed for its benefit to the business. Resources required are engaged and the process under question is mapped.
You will learn:

  • What is Six Sigma? A clear overview of Six Sigma
  • Project identification and metric selection
  • Project chartering with business benefit
  • Process identification and mapping
  • Critical-to-customer attributes

MEASURE: The measure phase numerically quantifies the current state of the process and highlights what measures are being captured by the department. Data gathered is then prepared awaiting analysis.
You will learn:

  • Measurement procedures and strategies
  • Introduction to statistics and sampling
  • Measurement validation
  • Numerical evaluation of metrics
  • Statistical software introduction

ANALYSE: The analyze phase takes the measurement data and determines where the areas for improvement are located. Specialized tools highlight the critical to customer variables and determine their sensitivity.
You will learn:

  • Components of variation and their effects
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Capability evaluation and opportunities
  • Opportunity identification
  • Multi-variable evaluation and opportunities

IMPROVE: The improve phase takes all the information gathered and formulates a plan to address the shortfalls. Opportunities highlighted are tested for benefits and executed to realize documented savings.
You will learn:

  • Introduction to experimentation
  • Design of Experiment (DOE) execution
  • Implementation planning and risk aversion
  • Solution validation and communication
  • Process testing and final evaluation

CONTROL: The control phase starts the process of sustainability for results achieved. Each change is rigorously tested and control plans are documented and executed to ensure changes implemented are maintained.
You will learn:

  • Control planning and documentation
  • Visual measurement and monitoring
  • Metric triggers for control variations
  • Project documentation and signoff
  • Project review and closeout

Who should attend: These results driven workshops are recommended for managers at all levels within the organization. Supervisors, project managers, process managers, middle managers and even top executives can benefit from the methodologies and tools presented. These practical programs can be learned and applied to all areas within an organization – finance, administration, marketing, sales, production and logistics. The concepts and examples cross all boundaries – it’s about process improvement!
