Managing Involvement®
Key skills for effective leaders
The purpose of this workshop is to help leaders develop the skills
necessary for resolving issues through participation and commitment.
It presents a model for selecting the best leadership behavior
for managing who is involved in issue resolution and determining
the extent of their involvement.
Workshop participants learn to use the involvement process to
select a behavior ranging from autocratic to participative. Choices
may include gaining consensus, meeting separately with a number
of individuals, or resolving issues alone. Leaders need to identify
the situation variables, determine which behavior will yield a
superior solution, and gain the commitment of those who will implement
the solution.
The Kepner-Tregoe Managing Involvement model provides a remarkably
effective tool for leaders that enhances their effectiveness in
any situation.
