Functional Strategy

While an organization’s strategy is set by its top team, all managers and their staff are critical to its successful implementation. In addition to working with top executives to formulate organizational strategy, KT helps the leaders of an organization’s division and functions to define and implement their responsibilities within the context of the organization’s strategy.

Using the KT Five Phase Strategy Model KT helps managers build a functional strategy and implement it within their division or function. We work with management teams to explore their roles in implementing the strategy of their organization through their operational responsibilities, planning, and decision making. Managers develop an action plan for creating and implementing a strategy for their own business unit.

Execution is the key to strategic success. By building a functional strategy for a business unit or function, strategic vision is integrated into the operation of the business. Managers gain understanding and contribute to strategic goals by using strategy to guide operational decision making.
